Not busy, just full...

A lot has happened since my last post!

1. I was part of hosting 'The Love Feast' - a huge public dinner party at the Baltimore House.
2. Hamilton had it's first cash mob at Mixed Media on James N. Second one is this Saturday!
3. Sweet Ice launched 'Operation Shasta' and we successfully met (more than) our goal, and long before the fundraiser was over too! That was humbling. (More here...) Also, we threw a sweet party to help raise funds!
4. Kevin is in AFRICA! He gets back on Sunday and I miss him SO much!

There are a bunch of other exciting things going on as well. I know my life must sound chaotic, but there are just so many great things happening and I'm surrounded by so many wonderful people that it doesn't feel overwhelming. It just feels full, but in a really good way.

So, Kevin and I are looking at moving. Selling this house and buying a different one. It makes me sad and happy...our house is amazing. It's been our home for four years and it's perfect for us in so many ways. But we want to the coffee shop, to the waterfront, to the bar, to the market. So, we're moving - which means that we're in 'get-the-house-ready' mode. I've said for the past few months that when I move, I'd like the process to be as stress-free as possible, and getting rid of everything we don't love or need is part of the preparation for that. It's a good process. My house is looking emptier and emptier, and I'm okay with that.

The season for Sweet Ice Snow Cones is starting up and things are already rolling. I'm saying it now: this is the year that I learn to balance work and home. Sweet Ice was a total whirlwind last year...something that we planned to be a fun hobby quickly turned into a full-fledged business and so we're trying to get a handle on that this year. We have a vintage trailer (currently in really sad condition) that we're going to be renovating and this has opened up the doors to some really cool events: food truck rallies, football games, weekend festival. Who knows - maybe even a few road trips! If you want to keep up with Sweet Ice you can do that here.

All in all, things are good. I'm excited to see my man on Sunday, and I'm glad the sun is out. I am a little tired, but that's only because I went to see Titanic last night. If you haven't gone, it's still just as good as it was in 1997.
